Saint Modan was an abbot and the son of an Irish chieftain. He worked hard in Scotland, preaching in places like Stirling and Falkirk, and was chosen as abbot of a monastery, even though he didn't want the position.

We celebrate his feast day on February 4. Saints help children see that holiness can grow through prayer, courage, kindness, and trust in God.

Prayer: Saint Modan, please pray for us and help us to be faithful to God in our everyday lives.
