Saint Martin Cid was a Cistercian abbot and a close friend of St. Bernard. He was born in Zamora, Spain, and founded the Val-Paraiso abbey, where he helped many monks grow in faith.

We celebrate his feast day on October 8. Saint Martin Cid teaches us the importance of prayer and loving God, showing that even small acts of kindness can lead us closer to Jesus.

Prayer: Saint Martin Cid, please pray for us and help us to grow in love and faith.
